In a nutshell: Born and raised in the land of hippies and Nike: Eugene, OR, where she received a master's degree in journalism from the University of Oregon before pursuing a career at InStyle in N.Y.C. After many wonderful years working on both coasts, she left the U.S. and happily lives in the peaceful countryside amongst grapevines, raising children and livestock.
