Mastin Kipp

Best-selling author & life interventionist.

Mastin Kipp is a number one best-selling author, speaker and life interventionist for people in transition.
Originally starting a Twitter feed of inspirational and thought-provoking quotes shared just with his friends, in 2010 he quickly achieved global recognition after Kim Kardashian enthusiastically shared about Mastin powerful inspirational messages on Twitter. Since then Mastin has built a highly successful international personal development company that helps people transitioning from one life-stage to another, figure out who they are and how to live their lives with passion and purpose. Through his writing, online courses, in-person seminars and international retreats, Mastin has worked with over two million people in over 100 countries around the world. One of the many things that Mastin’s ever-expanding global following find encouraging is that he is just like them. He admits to having been “messed up, imperfect, and really good at making mistakes.” And, to his credit, he owns up to all of it. It’s in this space of vulnerability, humor, and direct authenticity that millions of people, both young and old, resonate with his story and turn to Mastin when seeking life direction. Mastin’s passion for helping people matched with his charisma and dynamic personality explain why his speaking events, retreats and seminars consistently sell-out and why his podcast, Power & Purpose, reached #1 in the self-help and health categories, just hours after the first episode was released on iTunes. Raised and schooled in Kansas by loving parents (both scientists!), Mastin raised eyebrows by moving to Los Angeles while still in college to find work in the music industry. Upon landing his “dream job” and dropping out of USC, he climbed to the top of the music industry and found success. But, he also found an addiction to drugs, parties and the excesses of Hollywood too. As the result of his poor choices, he soon lost everything that he had worked so hard for and hit rock bottom. It was at rock bottom - with no job, no income and while living in his ex-girlfriend’s parents’ tiny 8’ x 8’ pool house - that Mastin vowed to turn his life around. Ridding himself of his addictions, Mastin became influenced by various spiritual leaders such as Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung, Caroline Myss, Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins and Oprah. In September 2014 Mastin released his first book, Daily Love: Growing Into Grace. Published by Hay House and written with his signature engaging spirit and humor, he shares personal stories of near-death experiences, how he found the resolve to survive and why all of his past experiences – the good and the bad - have shaped who he is today. Growing into Grace debuted #1 on Amazon.com in it’s category and landed on the Publisher’s Weekly best-sellers list. Hosting Mastin on her two-time Emmy Award winning show, Super Soul Sunday, Oprah dubbed Mastin an “up-and-coming thought leader of the next generation of spiritual thinkers.” Oprah recently also named Mastin “one of 100 awakened leaders who are using their voices and talent to elevate humanity,” alongside other teachers such as Tony Robbins, Caroline Myss, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Brené Brown, Marianne Williamson and Eckhart Tolle to name just a few. Watkins' Mind Body Spirit Magazine has recognized Mastin has one of the “100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People”. Mastin’s purpose and mission today is to create “life interventions” in people’s’ lives that will help them reconnect with their purpose and what makes them truly happy and, in turn, make the world a better place to live. When not hosting retreats in Bali and Maui, Mastin divides his time between his homes in Los Angeles, California and Asheville, North Carolina with his business and life partner, Jenna.
