Marjorie Gilberg

Executive Director, Break the Cycle

Marjorie Gilberg is the Executive Director of Break the Cycle, a national not-for-profit organization that engages, educates and empowers youth to live free from domestic violence. She believes that helping young people build healthy relationships has the potential to reduce violence in every aspect of our lives.

From a young age, Marjorie has been a dedicated changemaker. She keeps poster board and markers in the trunk of her car because, “You never know when you might need to join an impromptu rally.” She doesn’t support the old adage “teach a man to fish...” because knowing how to fish is only helpful if there are lakes in your neighborhood. Instead, Marjorie’s goal is to ensure everyone has access to lakes. Over the last decade, she has worked for Boys & Girls Clubs, homeless shelters and arts organizations that offer life-changing opportunities to at-risk youth.
