Mario Adriano dos Santos, M.D. , Ph.D., is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology. He is the Professor of Internal Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine at the Federal University of Sergipe, Brazil.

Mario Adriano dos Santos graduated from the Federal University of Sergipe, in 1992 and earned a Ph.D. degree at the University of São Paulo - USP, Brazil, in 2001. At the same university after residency training he obtained the title of specialist in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology.

After finishing his doctorate, Dr. Mario Adriano dos Santos returned to Sergipe as the Professor of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Federal University of Sergipe, in 2006. Two years later he was appointed as the head of educational strategies for a new Campus of Health Sciences of the same University. Currently, Dr. Mario Adriano dos Santos is General Director of Lagarto Health Sciences Campus (Campus Universitário Prof. Antonio Garcia Filho in Lagarto - Sergipe, Brazil) .

Dr. Mario Adriano dos Santos has published 10 peer reviewed articles and 5 book chapters. He is a member of the boards of Sergipe State Foundation for Health and the Telehealth Program in Brazil (Telessaúde Brasil Redes) for the State of Sergipe, appointed by the Federal University of Sergipe. As a strong enthusiast about the use of communication and information technologies in health sciences, Dr. Mario Adriano dos Santos is the Director of the Telemedicine Program of the Federal University of Sergipe.
