Lynn R. Huber is Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Elon University in Elon, NC. A biblical scholar, most of Lynn’s work focuses upon the Book of Revelation, especially its use of gendered imagery as a tool of persuasion. In her most recent book, Thinking and Seeing with Women in Revelation (T and T Clark, 2013), Lynn explores Revelation’s depiction of the Harlot and Bride and the ways this imagery is redeployed by certain visionary women, including two modern self-taught artists. In addition to writing about Revelation, Lynn enjoys teaching about the text in various parish settings using visual art as a way into perplexing and powerful writing.
