Lindsey Horvath

Lindsey Horvath is an Entertainment Advertising Executive at Cold Open, and served on the West Hollywood City Council from May 2009-March 2011. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where she earned a bachelor's of arts degree in Political Science and Gender Studies.

She is a resident of West Hollywood and has been a community leader on a variety of issues. Lindsey is the current President Emeritus of the National Organization for Women, Hollywood Chapter; Partner with the Truman National Security Project; former President of the National Women's Political Caucus, NWPC-LA Westside; former chair of the City of West Hollywood's Women's Advisory Board; Board member of the West Hollywood Democratic Club-Beverly Hills Democratic Club; advocate for A Window Between Worlds; Board member of the Women's Reproductive Rights Assistance Project; member of Planned Parenthood; Board member for Women Against Gun Violence; member of Human Rights Watch; member of Amnesty International; and a member of the Human Rights Campaign. Lindsey serves as an Advisory Board member of the philanthropic nonprofit organization Cops 4 Causes. She also served as Co-Chair of Women for Gavin Newsom along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Lindsey has devoted time to the Steering Committee for the West Hollywood Women's Leadership Conference; the West Hollywood Plan B Access Committee; as well as being a Producer of VDay & Until the Violence Stops Festival; Co-Founder of OBJECT: It's How You Say It; and a community partner for the Equality for All Campaign. Lindsey also fought with a strong coalition of leaders to secure funding for the backlog of untested rape kit evidence in Los Angeles. Recently, Lindsey initiated West Hollywood's first-ever Domestic Violence Community Response Team. This targeted, multi-agency approach will include domestic violence experts for same-sex and transgender relationships, teens, seniors and Russian-speaking with victims being able to get the help and resources they need quickly and easily.

In 2009, she earned the Young Democrat of the Year Award from the Los Angeles County Young Democrats, and in 2010, earned the Woman Democrat of the Year for the 42nd District from the Los Angeles County Democratic Party.
