Kirk Douglas is an Academy Award–winning actor and author whose legendary work on stage and screen has spanned more than seventy years. Douglas also produced acclaimed films such as Seven Days in May, Paths of Glory, Lonely Are The Brave and The Vikings. His epic film, Spartacus, is credited with ending the practice of blacklisting film professionals like Dalton Trumbo who refused to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee and were jailed for their political beliefs.
