Jon Greenberg is a Chicago-based writer and editor.
Greenberg, 30, is the Executive Editor of Team Marketing Report, a sport marketing research and publishing company located in Northbrook. He also works as a freelance sports writer for the Associated Press, MLB.com and the Daily Herald. He helped cover the White Sox’s run to the World Series and is a regular visitor to Wrigley Field and U.S. Cellular Field.
Before moving to Chicago in 2003, Greenberg was a sports writer in Yuma, Ariz., where he covered the Criminals, the Bullfrogs, and Antelope, the football team, not the animal.
Greenberg graduated from Ohio University in 2001 and had a post-grad internship with the AP bureau in Jerusalem. A native of Steubenville, Ohio, he is a devout Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He also earned a Master’s degree in the Humanities from the University of Chicago in 2007, focusing on creative writing.
He lives in Old Town with his wife, Jennifer.
