Jon Erickson

Jon Erickson is president of education and career solutions at ACT, Inc., a global nonprofit organization whose mission is: “Helping people achieve education and workplace success.”

ACT offers assessments spanning the early elementary grades through college and career, including the ACT® college readiness assessment, the nation’s most popular college admissions examination.

Erickson has served ACT and its diverse customers since 1984, and became president in 2011. He oversees a wide range of ACT’s endeavors, including measurement, test development, research, product development, customer engagement and experience, international programs, policy, advocacy, government relations, marketing, communications, and community and economic development, among others.

Erickson began his career as a high school teacher, and then moved into higher education administration at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A Wisconsin native, he enjoys outdoor activities and travel.
