Jennifer Nix has been an editor-at-large for Chelsea Green Publishing, a National Public Radio producer (On the Media), a staff writer for Variety and a damsel-in-distress at Old West Theme Park. She's written for New York, The New York Observer, The Nation, Village Voice, National Law Journal, PoetryFoundation.org, Salon, AlterNet, FireDogLake, DailyKos and other media outlets and blogs. Jennifer is also a co-founder of the international school-building non-profit, buildOn, a former fellow of the New Politics Institute/NDN, and has contributed to Other Voices and Guernica. She is currently at work on a screenplay, and is associate producer on the forthcoming documentary, "Robert Bly: A Thousand Years of Joy."
