Jed Miller

Internet strategist for advocacy and international development

Jed Miller lives and works in New York City, where he is a consultant on technology and innovation for advocacy groups. He is a technology advisor to the Revenue Watch Institute (www.revenuewatch.org) where he was Internet director from 2007 through 2012. He has served as director of Internet programs of the American Civil Liberties Union and from 1996 to 2001 was interactive editor at NYTimes.com, where he was responsible for all reader discussions, including the web forums for the Times's Pulitzer-winning series on race in America. Jed has lectured at Columbia University's School of International Public Affairs and is a founding contributor to Personal Democracy Forum. He has written and consulted for the Open Government Partnership, The New York Times Company Foundation, the Harwood Institute, AmericaSpeaks and Global Kids, Inc., among other groups.
