A resident of Santa Monica, she is famed for writing and producing the animated 'Madeline' series and recently created the upcoming Netflix series 'Julie's Greenroom,' starring Julie Andrews. When her children were looking at colleges, she wrote the LA Times Bestseller, 'The Neurotic Parent's Guide to College Admissions,' (Prospect Park Books) based on www.theneuroticparent.com, an acclaimed blog of exhausted admissions counselors and sanity-seeking parents across the country. The Neurotic Parent blog was previously excerpted in the anthology I’m Going to College - Not You! (St. Martin’s Press). Rothman prepared for none of her careers in college.
