Ira Sachs is a filmmaker based in New York City. His most recent film, Keep the Lights On, premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and has been nominated for four Independent Spirit Awards, including Best Feature and Best Director. Sachs is also the co-founder of Queer/Art/Film and Queer/Art/Mentorship, programs that encourage and support inter-generational conversation between queer artists in New York City.
