Ilana Solomon joined the Union of Concerned Scientists as Federal Campaign Director in April 2017. At UCS, Ilana works to build and support campaigns that defend science-based policy making. Prior to joining UCS, Ilana was director of the Sierra Club's Responsible Trade Program, where she led the organizations campaign against the Trans-Pacific Partnership and worked to create public support for trade and investment rules that protect the environment. Ilana graduated from Oberlin College with majors in Latin American Studies and Music and has a Masters of International Service from the School of International Service (SIS) at American University.
