Helen LaKelly Hunt

Author, co-founder of Women Moving Millions

Helen LaKelly Hunt has been active within the Women’s Movement for over twenty-five years. She is founder of The Sister Fund, a private women’s fund dedicated to the social, political, economic, and spiritual empowerment of women and girls.

She has just launched Women Moving Millions is launched, an initiative catalyzed by Helen LaKelly Hunt and her sister, Swanee Hunt, heirs to the Hunt Oil fortune. The vision of the initiative is for the advancement of women's lives through a massive change in giving to girls and women. Over the next two years, Women Moving Millions will raise $150 million through gifts of $1 million or more and to propel the aggregate assets and grant-making of women's foundations globally past the billion-dollar mark.

She has worked in behalf of other women’s organizations, and is honored to be an inductee in the National Women’s Hall of Fame, in Seneca Falls, New York.

Along with her activities on behalf of women and girls, Helen has written Faith and Feminism: A Holy Alliance, which was published by Atria books in the summer of 2004.

Helen has co-authored seven books with her husband, Harville Hendrix, and has been instrumental in the development of Imago Relationship Therapy, which he founded. Feeling strongly that our ability to function with integrity and wholeness within our communities and larger lives begins with our family connections, Helen uses much of her time to strengthen ties with her husband, their six children and four wonderful grandchildren.
