Helen Blank, Director of Child Care and Early Learning at the National Women’s Law Center, works to expand support for positive early care and educational experiences that enable low-income women to work and children to get a strong start in life. Ms. Blank led a large-scale, successful effort to pass the first comprehensive federal child care legislation, the Child Care and Development Block Grant. She currently leads the federal Child Care/Early Learning Coalition.
