Hammad “Moses” Khan is an MD candidate at the University of California Davis School of Medicine. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychobiology and a Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in healthcare policy and legislation. His areas of expertise include public health policy, global public health, and social media politics.
An award-winning writer, Hammad has an extensive background as a leader in the American Muslim community as well as significant experience serving medically under-served communities both in Northern California as well as internationally, with his focus being on improving adverse health outcomes in rural regions of Pakistan and Kashmir. Locally, he has worked with state lawmakers on crafting legislation focused on federally-mandated healthcare reform as well as promoting patient-centered care. He was also recently recognized by the 9th Annual Brass Crescent Awards.
