Geeta Nayyar, M.D.

Chief Medical Information Officer

Geeta Nayyar, M.D., M.B.A., is a nationally recognized leader in healthcare information technology as well as a board-certified practicing physician. She has been named one of the "Top 26 smartest people in Health IT" by Becker's Report and ranked one of the "Top 25 Minority Healthcare Executives" by Modern Healthcare. She is the author of the mobile health chapter in the HIMSS Medical Informatics textbook and is a noted social media expert and blogger for the Huffington Post. Med City News recognized her as one of the "Top 12 Powerful Women Voices in Healthcare Innovation and on Twitter."

Dr. Nayyar currently serves as the Chief Healthcare & Innovation Officer for Femwell Group Health, Inc., one of the largest management services organizations in the state of Florida. She is also the host of "Topline MD TV," Florida's newest medical digital news channel.

Previously, Dr. Nayyar was the Chief Medical Information Officer of AT&T where she provided subject matter expertise, thought leadership and strategic direction for the company. She recently was a member of the HIMSS Board of Directors and as a specialist in rheumatology, Dr. Nayyar maintains an active practice while serving on the medical school faculty at Florida International University and George Washington University.

Dr. Nayyar received her Medical Doctor and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Miami and earned her Master of Business Administration from George Washington University. Dr. Nayyar holds memberships and committee appointments in several professional organizations including the American College of Rheumatology and the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems.
