Chief Deputy to the President, Stony Brook University

Dr. Eddie Summers holds a Ph.D. in public and urban policy from The New School. He is the Chief Deputy to the President of Stony Brook University and is a national intellect and expert on urban and public policy issues. He previously served as Union College’s chief of staff and director of the Kelly Adirondack Center, an interdisciplinary research and policy facility dedicated to the study of Adirondack culture, politics, history, environment, conservation movement, and physical sciences and as Assistant to the President and Presidential Fellow at Marist College for one of the longest serving Presidents in higher education, Dr. Dennis Murray. Summers has written extensively on the issue of public and urban policy and is a frequent speaker at seminars, conferences, and workshops.
