Dominic MacSorley

CEO, Concern Worldwide

A 30-year veteran of international aid and development work, Dominic MacSorley is the CEO of Concern Worldwide. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as Operations Director for Concern Worldwide U.S. in New York for 10 years, where he represented Concern at key United Nations and United States government meetings on foreign aid. MacSorley also spearheaded emergency operations in a number of international crises, including Kosovo (Serbia), Afghanistan, Iraq, Darfur (Sudan), the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, and most recently, Haiti. Because of his remarkable commitment to humanitarian work, MacSorley was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2010 in recognition of his “services to international humanitarian aid.” In 2012, he was appointed as the Chair of the Interagency Standing Committee Humanitarian Forum and was honored by the Northern Ireland All Party Group on International Development for his outstanding contribution to international humanitarianism over the past 30 years.
