Debra Scacco (b. 1976, New York) is a contemporary artist whose practice centers around themes of displacement, memory, guilt and fear. Frequently working with extracts from her diaries, her deeply personal works reflect the most basic human desires: to love, to be loved, and simply to belong.

Solo projects include: Birds of Passage (Marine Contemporary, Los Angeles, 2012), Richiama (Ellis Island Museum, New York, 2012), Forever In Between (Marine Art Salon, Los Angeles, 2011). Group exhibitions include: text(ure), (Patrick Heide Contemporary, London, 2012), Art Platform Los Angeles (Barker Hanger, Santa Monica, 2012), Incognito (Santa Monica Museum of Art, 2011/12), Royal Academy Summer Show (Royal Academy of Arts, London, 2010), and Outside the Lines (Royale Projects, Indian Wells, 2010). In 2012, Scacco was the first Artist-in-Residence at the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island Museum. Her work has featured in Los Angeles Times, ArtInfo, and Art in America among others. She is represented by Marine Contemporary, Los Angeles.

After residing in London for 16 years, Scacco recently relocated to live and work in Los Angeles.
