David Issacharoff

16-year-old high school student living in Jerusalem

I'm David. I'm 16, I live in Jerusalem, and lived in Washington D.C, and I'm excited to write and share my thoughts with you. I'm in eleventh grade in an Israeli public school, and also studied in Washington D.C, where I lived when my father was on a diplomatic mission. I love politics. Everything about it. I love the excitement, the heat, and the games and deals. You must be asking, if you are a teen, living in Israel, why are you writing about American politics? Well, I do know a lot about Israeli politics, but also as part-American, I feel like I have a lot to write and share. People might say that politics is for adults, and while it's true that most teens are not aware of politics and government, I believe that it's extremely important for teens to know politics, and I hope to help and inform anyone who is interested.

Apart for my studies, I take part in the Israeli Model UN and I enjoy debating, writing, acting, and going out and laughing. I absolutely love Jerusalem, as it's one of the world's most disputed and fought-over cities, but it's also fun, eccentric and exciting. I currently try to survive high school, and I major in history and theater. I would love to read and hear your comments, so we can hold an intelligent and good debate. My plans for the future are to go to the army (here it's the law), take a trip around the world with my friends, and go to university. Everyone asks what I'll do when I grow up, and I have no idea. Maybe this can be a good start.
