Dafna Maor

Global Business Editor, Israeli Daily Newspaper

Dafna Maor is a business journalist and single mom living in Israel.

She holds a BS in Physics and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. She is the former Captain in the Israeli army (mandatory service).

Currently, she is the global business editor of the Israeli daily newspaper and website TheMarker.com, of Haaretz group, since 2000. They follow the global economy on a minute to minute basis, report and analyze it.

She writes commentary about the global economy on a daily basis, and have interviewed people such as the British Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. George Osborne and Czeck prime minister, Mr. Petr Necas.

Prior to her work at TheMarker she was a product manager in M-Systems, the high tech company that invented the USB drive (DiskOnKey), and a rock critic in Tel Aviv Time Magazine. She has interviewed Greenday, PJ Harvey and Kim Deal of the Pixies.
