Curt Bowen is a leader of Semilla Nueva. Semilla Nueva is a US 501(c)3 non profit that works with rural farmers in Guatemala. Experimenting with sustainable growing techniques, Semilla Nueva helps local farmers find their own solutions to poverty -– restoring soils, increasing incomes, and growing nutritious food for their families. Executive Director Curt Bowen founded Semilla Nueva three years ago with friends after completing his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Whitman College. He continues leading the organization with ambition, inspiration, and a curiosity for finding creative and collaborative solutions. Kristin Lacy joined the team six months ago after completing her Master's in Development Practice from the University of Denver. She serves as the Administrative Manager while also writing the Semilla Nueva blog: www.grownewseed.blogspot.com.
