Cecilia Malmström is European Commissioner for Home Affairs. She is responsible for migration and security issues in the European Commission, the executive arm of the European Union. She is formerly a Member of the European Parliament and Minister for European Affairs of Sweden, and is taking part in the United Nations High-Level Dialogue on Migration and Development in New York (Oct. 3 and 4, 2013). She is from Göteborg, Sweden.
