Brooke-Sidney Gavins is an USC-Annenberg Dean's Scholar and graduates this May with a master's degree in broadcast journalism program. She's also a Carnegie and Knight Foundations - News 21 fellow covering environmental issues in the Southwest. In addition to serving as Senior Editor for USC's new online news site, NeonTommy, she is a staff writer for Pop + Politics, where she covered the 2008 Democratic National Convention and 2009 Presidential Inauguration. She hosts Annenberg Radio News and is an anchor on Trojan Vision's "Platforums" television show. This past summer, Gavins worked as an apprentice for CNBC's "Kudlow & Company" show. She graduated with honors from Duke University with bachelor degrees in Political Science and Women’s Studies. Gavins was a Duke in Oxford Scholar and studied tort law at Oxford University’s New College in England. She is also the creator of the blog, CaramelBella.com.
