Brandt Goldstein, an author and visiting professor at New York Law School in Manhattan, has written for the New York Times Magazine, the Washington Post, Slate, and the Wall Street Journal, as well as for CNN television. He is the author of Storming the Court (Scribner), a narrative account of the 1992-93 legal battle to shut down America's first detention camp at Guantánamo Bay (www.stormingthecourt.com). Named one of the ten best nonfiction books of the year by Kirkus Reviews, Storming the Court has been published in Mandarin and Korean and is in development as a feature film. A recipient of a Ford Foundation travel grant to China, Goldstein is a graduate of Yale Law School and a member of the D.C. Bar. He is currently writing a nonfiction book about Burma and a novel.
