Blake Skjellerup

Olympian, Advocate, Speaker, LGBT Proud!

Blake Skjellerup is a short-track speed skater who represented New Zealand at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He would have been the only openly gay male competing at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, but he missed out on qualifying by one position. He is a strong LGBT youth advocate and has been a vocal opponent of Russia's anti-gay "propaganda" law. He would like to assure the LGBT youth of Russia that they have a friend and will not be forgotten.
