President, The Madyun Group (TMG)

Atiba Madyun is President/CEO of The Madyun Group (TMG), a government relations firm based in Washington, D.C. He has almost 20 years experience building coalitions between corporations, nonprofits, government bodies, labor unions, advocacy groups and the private sector. He has specialized knowledge and expertise in legislative strategy, communication, community organizing, outreach and education.

In 2002, he left the second largest senior membership organization in America: The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare where he worked as Manager of Multicultural Affairs to become the Division Director for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL) where he managed the organization’s public policy staff, and directed external and internal communications.

At NBCSL, he became the organization’s liaison to The National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL), the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL), The National Governors Association (NGA) The White House and the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC).

In 2009, he left NBCSL and opened TMG to be an incubator for ideas which is reflected in its tagline, Moving Ideas Forward. In 2011, TMG started Party Politics a feature of the company to engage and educate young people on public policy.
