Annette Blum

Activist in media, politics and social action in the arts

Ms Blum is an activist in the area of media, politics and global social action in the arts and is a supporter of international conferences and exhibitions. She is a member of the Synergos Global Philanthropist Circle, the Artists and Educators Board at Center Theater Group and an International Trustee of Religions for Peace, a UN affiliate. In 2015, she collaborated with the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku, Azerbaijan, Jerusalem Season of Culture in Jerusalem, The Creative Time Summit at the Biennale in Venezia and the Clinton Global Initiative. in 2014, Blum Media was a sponsor of the Creative Time Summit in Stockholm along with the Public Art Agency, Sweden. Along with colleagues from the Clinton Global Initiative, she attended a delegation to Havana, Cuba to meet with and support artists promoting social change and looks forward to future collaborations under the new US/Cuba negotiations. In March 2013, she traveled to Qatar hosted by the Qatari Museum Authority and to UAE for Art Dubai to meet with socially engaged artists from the region. Ms Blum has been involved in humanitarian and political causes, working on stepmother US Senator Dianne Feinstein's and President Clinton's campaigns. Her work has taken her on humanitarian missions in Europe with Insieme per la Pace in Rome, Italy where she also resides and with the Simon Wiesenthal Center, supporting outreach to Islamic leaders including delegations to UAE and of Muslim leaders to Israel. Her position on the International Board of Trustees of Religions for Peace in New York extends to Europe and the MENA countries and she is an active supporter of educational projects in the arts supporting integration and co-existence.
