Amy Holman is a poet and prose writer living in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. She works freelance as a literary consultant and teaches writers how to find success in publishing. Since learning to knit in September 2003, she has enjoyed the meditative act of the craft, its applicable metaphors, the possibility of beauty, and some of what she's succeeded in knitting. She is the author of An Insider's Guide to Creative Writing Programs: Choosing the Right MFA or MA Program, Colony, Residency, Grant, or Fellowship, and the sold-out poetry chapbook, Wait For Me, I'm Gone.
