Allison K Hill is the president and chief executive officer of Vroman’s Bookstore, Southern California’s oldest and largest independent bookstore and a former Publisher’s Weekly Bookseller of the Year; and Book Soup, the legendary "Bookseller to the Great & Infamous" located in the heart of the world famous Sunset Strip. She began her bookselling career with Simon & Schuster Publishing and Waterstone’s Booksellers. Allison is the former Vice President and Treasurer of the Southern California Independent Booksellers Association; a former member of the American Booksellers Association's Bookseller Advisory Council; and the co-founder of the Emerging Leaders Project, an initiative to support young people in the book industry. She is a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post, the book columnist for the Los Angeles News Group, and the author of the Tumblr blog Reading: A Love Story.
