Alex Pasternack

Editor, Writer, and Filmmaker in New York and Seattle

I'm the founding editor and editor at large of Motherboard at Vice, a contributing editor at Fast Company, and a freelance writer with a focus on the intersections of science, technology, media, politics, and culture. My writing about those and other topics—transportation, design, media, architecture, environment, psychology, art, music—has also appeared in A+U, Architectural Record, Domus, Entertainment Weekly,Foreign Policy, The Guardian, New York Magazine, The New York Observer, NewYorker.com, Science, Slate, Time, and Treehugger. I am interested in cities and their future, and serve on the board of Bandwagon, a startup I co-founded that helps people share rides from airports, events, and dense urban spaces. We are based at the Urban Future Lab in Brooklyn.
