Ahrif Sarumi

Writer and Founder, The Knoble Media

Ahrif Sarumi is a writer and founder at The Knoble, a recently launched multi-media organization that promotes and advocates social and civic engagement.

After graduating with a Master of Higher Education Administration from University of Houston (UH), he served as an academic advisor for students entering the Art Institute of Houston. He discovered his passion for education after engaging in professional and personal opportunities that bridge the education gap among underserved populations.

Prior to Ahrif's work in education, he gained several years of experience in the communications industry. While studying as double major in mass communications and psychology at the University of Iowa, he worked in mtvU’s affiliate relations department. His time with MTV catalyzed his love for marketing and led to opportunities at Edelman Public Relations and the UH marketing department.

The Knoble is a culmination of Ahrif’s previous experiences, where he leverages his communications insights and helps nonprofit organizations reach their full potential. This new platform is where he blogs, provides marketing resources, and helps mission-driven entrepreneurs and nonprofits develop better social media strategies. Ahrif enjoys volunteering and serving as a member of the Mia's Closet advisory board.
