Well, we never.
A bear with a very blue head was spotted near Silvermere Lake in Mission, B.C. on Wednesday, out for an evening stroll with her cub.
Photographer Aaron Smith was driving through the area when he saw the animal on the side of the road, according to Global News. He pulled out his camera, and quickly realized something was a little off.
"It was such an odd thing — it really was that blue!" Smith told CBC News.
The photographer took a video of the bear meandering about, and uploaded it to YouTube.
The bear likely stuck its head in something it shouldn't have, reported CTV News.
“Being that I see there’s a clear line on the bear’s neck of a saturation of blue, it looks like he would have dipped his head in something,” Chris Jones of Mission Animal Control told the outlet.
But, worry not — conservation officer Paul McFadden said the bear is still healthy, and that blue fur will eventually grow out on its own, according to the CBC.
