Teen Is Dating Father, Plans To Have Children With Him (VIDEO)

WATCH: Teen Is Engaged To Her Dad, Wants To Have Kids

It's a story that's making some people feel uncomfortable: A teenager revealed her relationship with her father in New York magazine last week.

The unnamed 18-year-old says she had little contact with her father growing up, but reunited with him when she was 17 after he found her on Facebook. Since then, the two got engaged and now plan on getting married (legally) and having children.

"I saw him as my dad but then also part of me was like, I’m meeting this guy who I have been talking to over the internet and really connecting with and I find him attractive," she told the magazine.

In a long-form Q&A, the magazine asks questions about the teen's upbringing, her relationship with her mother (who doesn't know she's dating her dad) and the couple's sex life — the teen reveals she lost her virginity to her father.

She also says they plan to move to New Jersey, where adult incest is legal.

Studies have shown people can be drawn to others who look like them or their parents, according to Wired. In this teen's case, and many others, when two people are separated for a long period of time and bond over adulthood, this type of appeal is called genetic sexual attraction (GSA), notes the Independent U.K..
